We did it! Totaling up the contributions made on April 6 at The Tapolci Foundation’s #FundTheTruck event, we were able to exceed our goal! Who made it possible? You did, of course. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to those of you who could make it to Mad Mex to support our cause for The Greater Washington County Food Bank!
#FundTheWhat? #FundTheTruck! In case you haven’t heard, The Tapolci Foundation held a charitable event at Mad Mex in Robinson Township, PA, on Thursday, April 6 to raise money for the Greater Washington County Food Bank. When we heard the GWCFB was in need of a new 24′ refrigerated truck that helps to deliver more than 2.7 million pounds of food with, we knew we had to help! Naturally, our answer to this problem was to raise money through a fun-filled night of networking, Chinese auctions, a 50/50 raffle.
Board Member, Jeff Tapolci, stated, “The purpose of this Foundation is to give back on a greater scale and make a more significant impact on the communities we live in. This is yet another circumstance in which we as an organization were able to hold this purpose true.”
In response to our fundraising success, the Greater Washington County Food Bank expressed their gratitude, “Many thanks to the Tapolci Foundation and friends. Your kindness and generosity will certainly go a long way in helping us to fulfill our mission of making sure that no one goes to bed hungry.”
You couldn’t make it? The opportunity to give is still alive! Head over to our donation page to continue supporting this great cause! We’ll be collecting donations until April 27.
Be on the look-out for our continued charitable efforts with the Greater Washington County Food Bank, as we travel to their location on April 28 to present them with our final donation and also to volunteer our time sorting, bagging, and boxing food for the hungry!
